What is holistic therapy?

The definition of holistic is a belief that parts of something are intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.

From a therapeutic basis this essentially means the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental, social and spiritual factors rather than just symptoms.

This means working with different modalities and theories to suit your needs, which may change over the course of your sessions.

How is it different to counselling?

The therapy that I offer is inspired by counselling theory, I work in a person centred way and follow the same ethical framework as a counsellor, I receive regular supervision and personal counselling as required by the BACP, but what makes my practice different is that I include and integrate into my practice different healing and guidance. I believe you are the expert of you, but I come to you with a suitcase full of guidance and evidence based practices including hypnotherapy, rewind technique, Past life regression EFT, somatic body work, hooponopono and massage.

What this means for you is that you can work with the same therapist whom you build a trusting relationship with to find the best path for you.

How many sessions will I need?

This is impossible to answer as it varies from person to person. Certain therapies are quicker, some more open ended, others become more like a regular check in, much like your regular hair appointment of dental check, just for your mental wellbeing instead.

Rewind for trauma will take 3 sessions.

Past life regression is a one off session.

Trauma informed birth preparation is over 2 sessions

Holistic therapy sessions can be a one off session, but generally speaking a recommend booking in blocks of 4 to allow some structure, and manageable expectations, goals etc. Each session is approx 1.5 hours. When we first start working together we may talk weekly, generally the frequency is reduced to a monthly check in.

Hypno massage is a one off session of 3 hours.

Do you offer discounts or payment plans?

There is a discount available for block booking.

I offer a discount of 10% on all sessions for anyone who identifies as BIPOC or LGBTQ+

I offer a pay what you can afford for Trauma informed birth preparation with a sliding scale.

I can afford to pay full price and wish to donate towards someone else who can not afford to pay £300

I can afford to pay for myself £250

I am on low income but can afford to pay a reduced amount £200

I am on low income and identify as BIPOC or LGBTQ+ £150

I can not afford to pay and would like to be considered for a sponsored session (please contact me)

I also offer a 25% discount for those aged between 16 and 18

These discounts are discretionary, they are not means tested and are reliant on honesty and transparency.

Can you fix me?

No.

You don’t need somebody to fix you.

Only you can make the change, I am simply here to facilitate and guide.

This work is simple, but not necessarily easy, I am here to help you find your way, support you and offer up ways to regulate, find compassion, self-love, self-worth.
